You Guo en is a great master of Chinese national culture in the 20th century. His academic status is closely related to his contribution to his classical Chinese literature research. He is not only the most important founder and the most successful practitioner of the new studies of The Songs of the South, but also a faithful successor of its traditional studies, the chief initiator of the history of Chinese literature and academic discipline in science.
