Electro-generated FeO_4^(2-) using SPE Anion Exchange Membrane Technique and Studies of its Decolorization and Degradation Properties

摘要 The electro chemical process to produce sodium ferrate flocculent using solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) anion exchange membrane as separator has been described. Ferrate having a high redox potential(1.9V in acid solution) has been used as an oxidant in treatment of dye wastewater. The OH- transfer rate from thecathodic chamber to the anodic chamber and the steady state polarization have been investigated. Results show that both of the degradation and decolorization of dye, acid chrome blue are efficient. It is a first order reaction with a rateconstant: k=7.8×10-4s-1.
