1990年9月3日,我国发射了风云一号气象卫星的第二颗星FY-1(B)。本文概述了风云一号的信息特征、它在气象和气候方面以及在地球资源、环境和自然灾害监测中的应用,也阐述了它的发展前景。
On Sep.3,1990, China successfully launched FY-1(B)-its second meteorologicalsatellite of the FY-1 series . This paper describes its information characteristics, its ap-plications in the fields of meteorology, climatology, natural resources,and environment and natural disaster monitoring. It also discusses the trend of China's meteorological sat-ellites in polar orbit .
