摘要
认知参照点为处于争议中的汉语话题与主语关系研究提供了一个新的分析路径。本研究借助该理论,从话题与主语的分离与重合两方面重新考察二者关系。研究发现:二者均可视为激活和通达目标命题的认知参照点,当二者分离(含隐性和显性)时,话题在通达机制中扮演句子内外衔接的首要参照点,它将听者的注意力导向特定的知识辖域,主语则充当激活和通达目标命题的次要参照点;当二者重合时,共同作为参照点通达目标概念。首要、次要和共同参照点三个次概念的引入及应用,旨在为话题主语间的复杂关系提供统一的认知解释。
The theory of cognitive reference point provides a new analytical approach to the controversial study on topic and subject relationship. Based on this theory, the present study is designed to explore and re-examine the relationship between topic and subject from the perspectives of their separation and overlapping. The research findings show that both topic and subject can be the cognitive reference point for activation and access to the target proposition. When the two are separated(including implicit and explicit separation), the topic plays a primary reference point in the mental access, which directs the listener.s attention to the specific knowledge of the domain; the subject, which plays the role of activating and reaching the target proposition, acts as the secondary reference point of the clause. When the function of the two overlaps, the overlapping reference point acts as the role of reaching the access of the target entity. The introduction and application of primary, secondary and overlapping reference points in topic and subject discussion is intended to provide a holistic cognitive explanation for the complex relationship between topic and subject.
