摘要
目前主流的口译教学理念主要围绕口译的认知处理技能来展开教学。那么,口译技能只是认知处理技能吗?本文提出,口译是一种以译员为跨语言中介的人际交际互动行为和跨文化交际活动,其目的是达成跨语言的交际沟通,因此,跨语言交际协调技能是口译教学中不可忽视的部份。本文在系统梳理国际范围内视口译为交际协调活动的相关研究包括法庭口译研究、医疗口译研究和手语传译研究等的基础上,建构口译的交际协调论,为口译的交际协调技能教学提供理念基础。
While the mainstream pedagogy of interpreting training has always focused on the training of cognitive processing skills,this article argues that interpreting competence requires more than cognitive processing skills. As an activity of interpersonal interaction and intercultural communication performed by the interpreter to facilitate communication across languages,interpreting also requires interlingual communicative mediation skills. Taking stock of representative researches from this perspective,including court interpreting studies,medical interpreting studies and sign-language interpreting studies,this article proposes a framework for conceptualising interpreting as communicative mediation,which can feed into the development of interpreting training pedagogy.
