The general situation of the production and consumption in the plastic industry in China and the present status and countermeasures of disposable plastic wastes were described.R&D trends related to degradable plastics,as well as problems and considerations in the marketing process,were introduced and discussed.The market prospect of degradable plastics in China was reviewed.
