摘要
礼貌是不同文化背景的人都须遵守和维护的准则,但不同的文化对人们在交际中的礼貌策略有不同的制约。英汉语“批评”言语行为实例分析表明,人们在交际中的礼貌策略深受不同文化传统的思维定势及人际关系取向的影响,基于西方文化的礼貌策略不适用于分析汉文化。这对外语教学也有一定的启示。
Politeness is a universal phenomenon, but different societies have different constraints on politeness strategies employed by people in communication. A contrastive study of the speech act of ' criticism' shows that the speaker's politeness strategies are determined by the traditional thought patterns and interpersonal relationships, which are culture bound. Therefore, the politeness strategies based on English culture may not be applied to the study of Chinese culture. The results provide some inspiration to English language teaching.
