摘要
本文简要回顾了国内外地理语言学研究的历史 ,指出中国因其特殊的语言、方言和历史、地理、社会、文化生态 ,是当今地理语言学研究的宝地 ,在中国开展地理语言学研究将能对历史语言学、社会语言学、普通语言学作出独特的贡献。加强地理语言学研究是中国语言学发展的必然趋势之一。
This paper briefly reviews the history of geographical linguistics. The author points out that China is the best place to carry on geographical linguistics studies for the reason that it has the particular language,abundant dialects and the unique ecology of its history, geography, society and culture. The author holds that Chinese geographical linguistics will make great contributions to historical linguistics, sociolinguistics, and general linguistics. Therefore, geographical linguistics is an inexorable trend of Chinese linguistics.
