Imaging spectrometer based on spatially linear variable filter SVFIS is presented as hyperspectral remote sensing system for nanosatellite.The principle advantage of SVFIS over alternative IS approaches is its simple design that brings high mechanical and thermal stability favorable to space applications.In this paper,spaceborne hyperspectral remote sensing and imaging spectrometer are introduced briefly and the configuration and operation of SVFIS are introduced in detail.The hyperspectral data of SVFIS has characteristics of redundancy as well as non-simultaneous collection.Although they are on a certain degree disadvantageous,their effects depend on system design.Data of SVFIS includes such information as terrain? movement of target and platform pointing accuracy.For the sake of the study of these information,special design is taken to the image plate,which brings to the system special functions that traditional IS has not.
