Objective To explore the impact of industrial noise on specific systems of wood-processing workers. Methods 193 noise-exposed workers were collected as observation group, and noise of their work positions were detected respectively. 53 administration staffs in the same factory who had not exposed to noise and any other hazardous agents were used as control group. All of them were taken occupational physical ex- amination, including blood pressure, internal medicine, X-ray and electrocardiogram, hearing test and so on. Results The prevalence rate of neurasthenic syndrome (59.6 -) and hypertension (25.4 - ), abnormal elec- trocardiogram (23.3 - )and abnormal audition (25.9 % )of the observation group were significantly higher than control group (P-0. 05). With the increase of noise intensity, work years and age, the prevalence rate of neurasthenic syndrome and hypertension, abnormal electrocardiogram and abnormal audition were increased simultaneously. Conclusions The health of wood-processing workers were significantly adverse impacted by noise. The hazards included cardiovascular system, audition system and nervous system disease.
