知识积累、创新能力与企业成长关系研究 被引量:38

摘要 知识与创新已成为当代企业发展的两大主题。但关于知识积累如何影响企业创新与发展的内在机理尚不明晰,由此带来的实践困惑是企业如何进行知识积累才能获取竞争优势。从企业不同知识积累机制入手,以创新能力为中介,采用419个样本数据,探索并检验知识积累促进企业创新与发展的内在机理。研究发现:(1)知识积累一般并不能直接带来企业竞争优势,而必须通过创新能力的中介作用才能有利于企业成长,否则可能产生损害。(2)内生性知识积累更倾向于先构筑企业深层次能力基础,并以此提供现实创新能力的来源与潜力,进而促进企业成长;外源性知识积累通过提升现实创新能力来帮助企业获得更高绩效。(3)内生性知识积累较外源性知识积累为企业成长做出更大贡献。最后,探讨了研究发现的管理意义及未来研究议题。 Knowledge and innovation have become the main two themes for firms' development. However, the inherent mechanism of knowledge accumulation promoting a firm's innovation and development is still obscure, which may lead a firm to be puzzled by how to gain competitive advantage via knowledge accumulation. Taking a firm's innovation capabilities as mediator, the present paper explores the mechanism mentioned above from the perspective of different knowledge accumulation ways. Using data collecting from 419 enterprises, this study examines the relationship between knowledge accumulation and firms' growth empirically. Results got: (1) Knowledge accumulation does not necessarily lead to competitive advantage unless it takes innovation capabilities as the mediator, or it even has negative effect on a firm's growth. (2) Endogenous knowledge accumulation tends to construct some kind of deep-seated competence, namely potential innovation capability, which provides the base and source of realized innovation capability, then promote a firm to gain high level performance. And knowledge acquisition can leverage higher level performance only via realized innovation capabilities. (3) Endogenous knowledge accumulation contributes more than exogenous knowledge accumulation to a firm's growth. Finally, the present paper discusses managerial implication and future research.
