摘要
乙烷桥键类四环液晶早已得到广泛的应用,但是其介晶性能很少有系统的报道。本文采用DSC、POM测试,对新合成的两种含双乙烷桥键侧氟类和二苯乙炔类四环液晶单体(EA3E和EA5E)的介晶性进行了研究,并探讨了已有的乙烷桥键类四环液晶单体结构与性能之间的关系。结果发现,引入乙烷桥键的位置及数目对四环液晶热性能的影响较大,对其影响的规律与四环液晶的类型有关。说明在不同类型的四环液晶中,合理地引入乙烷桥键能够获得性能优异的液晶单体。
Four ring liquid crystals with ethylene-bridge have been widely used in liquid crystal mix tures. However, their mesomorphism properties have not been reported systematically. The meso- morphism properties of new four ring liquid crystals with ethylene bridge (EA3E and EA5E) were thoroughly studied by using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarising optical microscopy (POM). The relationship between structure and properties in the existing four ring liquid crystals with ethylene-bridge was discussed. The results show that the position and number of ethylene-bridge have a great impact on the thermal properties of the four ring liquid crystals. The influence of ethylene bridge on four ring liquid crystals depends on their types. So reasonably introducing ethylenebridge in different four ring liquid crystals, the liquid crystal monomer with excellent performance can be obtained.
