摘要
从符号学的研究方向和主要原则(客观性原则、人的原则、意义原则)论述斯捷潘诺夫的符号学思想,他对符号学的阐释具有明显的语言学倾向。语言不仅作为描述世界的媒介和工具,还赋予世界以文化的秩序、结构和意义,语言本身即是一种文化,这体现着语言的本体论意义。语言的结构决定着人对世界认识的结构和意义,语言决定着人的思维方式,不同的语言基础之上有着相应的世界图景。
This thesis is discussing Stepanov＇s semiotic ideas that have apparently the linguistic trend from the semiotic research directions and main principles （the principles of objectivity, people and meaning）. Language not only can be taken as a media or an instrument to describe the world, but also gives the world order, structure and significance. Language itself is culture, which represents the ontology of it. The structure of language influences people＇s cognition of the world and decides the way of thinking. Different languages reveal different language world pictures.
