摘要
虽不否认西方文化的影响作用,但张灏认为在近代中国,以儒家为代表的传统文化有其"自变"的充足活力和丰富内涵,并以此构成《梁启超与中国思想的过渡》的行文主调。该书揭示了1890—1907年的梁启超在受容中西文化的过程中,对儒家核心观念"仁"所走过的"知受—避谈—疏远—弃换"的心路历程,实现了在秩序追求上由"三纲"到"平等"、在人格理想上由"圣人"到"新民"、在政治理想上由"仁政"到"现代政治参与"、在社会理想上由"天下大同"到"国家主义"等思想层面的过渡和转换。这种转变使梁启超思想的精华既成为20世纪中国价值体系的一个重要和持久的组成部分,亦可为当下中国文化建设提供参照。
Not denying the influence of western culture, Zhang Hao believed that in modern China, the traditional culture represented by Confucianism had its enough vitality and rich connotation of ＂Self-change＂, which composed the keynote of Liang QiChao attd Intellectual Transition in China. This book reveals Liang Qichao＇ s attitude toward Benevolence--the core concept of Confucianism, in the course of accepting Chinese and Western culture, and the attitude-change could be summarized as ＂Know and Accept--Avoid Talking--Keep a Distance--Cast away＂. As a result in theory, Liang Qichao had achieved the transition from ＂Three Cardinal Guides＂ to ＂Equality＂ in order pursuit, from ＂Saint＂ to ＂New Citizen＂ in personality ideal, from ＂Policy of Benevolence＂ to ＂Modern Political Participation＂ in political ideal, from ＂Great I-Iar- mony＂ to ＂Nationalism＂ in social ideal. This transition makes the essence of Liang Qichao＇ s thought not only to become an important and long-lasting part of China＇ s value system in the 20th century, but also to provide reference for the culture construction in China today.
