摘要
英语是交流思想和思维的工具,对中小学学生开启心智,形成情感价值观、培养国际视野、促进个体潜能、发展思维能力,具有其他学科难以替代的作用。在英语语音、词汇、语法教学过程中,尊重学生主体,开发智力、发展思维,使之建构知识体系;在听说读写技能教学过程中,通过体验、实践、探究和合作,发现语言规律,形成有效的学习策略,发展自主学习的能力。在分析了英语教学的启智性后,文章探讨了启智性英语课堂教学模式的设计。
This article starts with elucidating that the English language is both a tool for communication and an instrument for thinking, and that English as a school subject that cannot be replaced by any other subject in promoting students' mental development. The reason is that the English language has a special function in helping students build up a sense of affective values and cross-cultural awareness, enhance their international understanding, tap every individual's potential, and develop their thinking ability. The second part of the essay deals with how to help students construct their system of knowledge, form effective learning strategies, and enhance their autonomy in their phonological, lexical and grammatical studies and in training their language skills. The last part of the article discusses how to design classroom teaching with special emphasis on developing students' mentality.
