摘要
＂如果＂与＂只要＂的异同主要体现在三个方面：①复句类型的兼容性。＂如果＂常可与其他逻辑类型兼容使用,＂只要＂一般不大具备这种能力。②非兼容的逻辑语境。语境能否允许假设和条件两种理解是造成二者能否相互替换的关键。③元话语用法。＂如果＂有较丰富的元话语用法,＂只要＂较少这样用。
This paper discusses the similarities and differences of ＂Ruguo＂ and ＂Zhiyao＂ . There are mainly three aspects： ① the compatibility of logical types. ＂Ruguo＂ can be compatible with some other logical types, ＂Zhiyao＂ seldom can be used like this. ② the incompatibility of logical types. The crucial factor determining whether ＂Ruguo＂ and ＂Zhiyao＂ can be substituted for by each other is the ways of understanding of the corresponding contexts. ③ the metadiscourse usage. ＂Ruguo＂ has relatively more such usages, on the contrary ＂Zhiyao＂ is not often be used like this.
