Effect of Post-processing Conditions on the Physical Properties of EPDM Foams

摘要 以偶氮二甲酰胺为发泡剂、硫磺为交联剂,采用模压发泡制备三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)发泡材料,并对其进行一定温度和时间的处理。对发泡材料的各项物理性能进行测试,并采用扫描电子显微镜观察材料泡孔的微观结构,系统研究了处理条件对发泡材料物理性能、收缩以及热老化的影响。结果表明:后处理在一定程度上提高了EPDM发泡材料的物理性能,降低了发泡材料的收缩性。 The ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) foams were prepared by compression molding technology with azodicarbonamide(AC) as foaming agent and sulfur as cross-linking agent and post-treated at given temperature for given time.Physical properties of the foams were tested,and the microstructures of the foamed materials were investigated by scanning electron microscopy.The influence of post-treatment on the physical properties,shrinkage and thermal aging of the foams was studied.The results showed that post-treatment improved the physical properties of EPDM foams to some extent,and decreased the shrinkage of the foamed materials.
