Objective: To observe the curative effect of Yougui Yin on SD rat with femoral head necrosis induced by hormone, and to explore its mechanism so as to guide the clinical practice. Methods: 30 SD rats were randomly divided into three groups such as control group,Yougui Yin group and model group.Rats in Yougui Yin group and model group received intraperitoneal injection with Escherichia coli endotoxin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate to establish rat models of femoral head necrosis, and rats in control group received intraperitoneal injection with the same amount of saline solution.Rats in Yougui Yin group received gavage administration with Yougui Yin for 8 weeks, and rats in control and model group received gavage administration with the same amount of saline solution.Animal behavior detections were carried out on the 8th week, and blood was sampled to test the blood fat and coagulation indicators. Results: Yougui Yin could decrease triglyceride, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein,PT,APTT and so on significantly(P〈0.01),while the effect of Yougui Yin on high density lipoprotein cholesterol was not significant.Yougui Yin could improve the general condition and behavioral manifestation in open field test, vertical score, grip and so on significantly(P〈0.05).Conclusion: The comparative study in blood fat, coagulation indicators and behaviors of rats in the three groups further confirmed that Yougui Yin could treat and prevent femoral head necrosis induced by hormone.
