广州市来华留学生生存质量与求学满意度的典型相关分析 被引量:3

Canonical Correlation Analysis on the Association between Quality of Life and Academic Satisfaction among International Students in Guangzhou City

摘要 目的探讨广州市来华留学生求学满意度与生存质量的相关关系,为提高来华留学生生存质量提供科学依据。方法用整群随机抽样方法在广州市抽取五所高校537名在校外籍留学生,采用英文版来华留学生满意度量表和生存质量量表简表(WHOQOL-BREF)进行现况调查,调查数据使用SAS 9.2统计软件进行典型相关分析。结果来华留学生对所在高校总体满意度得分为63.13±10.35,近61.3%的来华留学生自评总体生存质量良好,生存质量各领域得分分别为生理领域62.22±14.90、心理领域63.68±15.54、社会关系领域61.95±17.42和环境领域58.35±13.84。典型相关分析表明,典型相关系数有统计学意义(P<0.001),第1对典型变量的典型相关系数为0.5238,贡献率为86.35%;反映求学满意度的第一典型变量V1主要由X1(环境设施)和X5(学生自我评价)决定,反映生存质量的第一典型变量W1主要Y1(生理领域)和Y4(环境领域)决定,且两组典型变量之间呈正相关关系。结论广州市来华留学生求学满意度对生存质量的生理领域和环境领域有影响,其中对环境设施和自我评价的满意度是主要相关因素。建议有针对性地改善校园生活环境,同时改进留学生管理服务体系,从而提高来华留学生的生存质量水平。 Objective To explore the association between academic satisfaction and quality of life among international students in Guangzhou city, and to provide a scientific evidence for improving their quality of life. Methods A total of 537 in- ternational students from five universities in Guangzhou city were selected by clustered random sampling method. All the partici-ants were comprehensively evaluated by International Student Satisfaction Inventory and WHOQOL-BREF. Canonical correla- tion analysis was performed by SAS 9. 2 software. Results The mean score of international students' satisfaction was 63.13 ± 10. 35. Nearly 61.3% of international students' self-assessment on quality of life were good. Mean scores of domains of QOL were 62. 22 ± 14. 90 (physical health ), 63.68 ± 15.54 (psychological health), 61.95 ± 17.42 ( social relationship ), 58. 35 ± 13.84 (environment). The first pair of canonical correlation variances showed statistically significant differences, with 0. 5237 of canonical correlation coefficient and 86. 35% of proportion. The first canonical variable ( V1 ) about academic satisfaction was charged by X1( environmental facilities ) and X5( self evaluation), similarly the first canonical variable ( W1 ) about quality of life was charged by Y1 ( physical health) and Y4 (environment). Conclusion Academic satisfaction had mainly influenced physical health and environment in quality of life, whose main correlative factors were international students' satisfaction to environmental facilities and self evaluation. Further improvement to facilities and services in universities should be implemented, in order to make international students' academic satisfaction and quality of life better.
