在教育信息化、全球化和产业化迅速推进的背景下,MOOC成为继开放教育资源运动之后新一轮全球优质教育资源的典型代表。它在继承"开放共享"理念的基础上,引入商业运作的理念,以此构筑了一种新的在线教育运营模式。这成为MOOC快速成功崛起的重要原因。以MOOC最具影响力的Coursera为例,其创新的运营模式集中体现在风险投资、协同创新、发展战略及免费分享与增值服务四个方面。具体而言,Coursera以其显著的市场价值和快速的用户增长速度获得来自风险投资的宽裕运转资金,为其稳步发展奠定了坚实的经济基础;以多方参与、协同创新的理念构建包括投资者、世界名校和服务提供商在内的强大协同创新体系,为其创建高效的运转机制提供了有效途径;以深化合作办学、提升用户体验和加强团队建设为发展战略,为其应对未来挑战提供了行动指南;以免费分享与增值服务相结合的方式探索盈利之门,为其可持续发展铺平了道路。
With the rapid development of educational informationization, globalization and industrialization, there comes a new period of advanced international education resources construction after the Open Educational Resources Movement, and MOOC is one of its typical examples. MOOC introduces the concept of business operations on the basis of "Opening and Sharing" concept. Therefore it can construct a new operation pattern of online education, which is the significant reason for MOOC's rapid and successful rising. This article takes Coursera, the most influential MOOC, as an example. There are four main aspects of its innovational operation pattern: venture capital, collaborative innovation, development strategies, and free sharing plus value-added services. More specifically, Coursera gains plenty of money from venture capital because of its significant market value and rapid user growth, which lays a solid economic foundation for its steady development. And it builds a strong collaborative innovation system including investors, world famous universities and service providers, to provide an effective way to create efficient operating mechanism. Besides, Coursera takes deepening the collaboration in running schools, improving the users' experience and strengthening the team construction as its development strategies. Moreover, Coursera is exploring a profitable method by combining free sharing and value-added services, which paves the way for its sustainable development.
