摘要
当代文学外译过程中流行语的翻译输出,是一种有意识的话语建构与传播行为。本文以余华力作《十个词汇里的中国》英译本为例,着重考察中国政治、经济流行语在翻译中的得失问题。研究发现,流行语的英译存在术语不统一("走形")、文学性不足("走味")等问题。这与中国本土译者在当代文学翻译中的缺位密切相关。因此,培养合格的本土外译人才,迅速建立起具有中国特色的相对统一规范的对外政治话语体系和文学话语体系,是"讲好中国故事,传播好中国声音,阐释好中国特色"的关键所在。
The translation of catchphrases in Chinese contemporary literature is a conscious activity of the construction and communication of Chinese discourse. This paper focuses on the gains and losses in the English translation of Yu Hua' s China in Ten Words for a case study. The study shows that in the communication of political and economic catchphrases, there are problems like "inconsistency in terms" or "deficiency in literariness" due to the Chinese translators' absence in the activity. As a consistent translating discourse of political and literary terms with distinct Chinese characteristics is in urgent demand, it is of vital importance to provide qualified Chinese translators that live up to "a good storyteller who speaks and stands for Chi- na" .
