The subject indexing and classified indexing are the core of literature organization work. This paper probes into the linguistic features of subject indexing and classified indexing, expounds the similarities of subject indexing and classified indexing, analyzes the integrative principle in the practical work of subject indexing and classified indexing, and points out that the analyzing process of subject indexing and classified indexing can be traced to the same origin and their stated contents can be complement each other.
