Objective To investigate the clinical significance of intensive diet nursing intervention for the improvement of inci- dence of malnutrition in patients with maintenance hemodialysis. Methods 156 cases of patients with maintenance hemodialysis treated in our hospital from February 2012 to February 2014 were selected and randomly divided into observation group (75 cases) and control group (81 cases). The control group received routine nursing care, whereas observation group was given intensive diet nursing intervention, and the incidence of malnutrition of two groups' patients after nursing care was observed. Results The inci- dence of malnutrition of the observation group after nursing care was 6.67%, and that of the control group was 23.46%, the differ- ence was statistically significant (P〈0.05). The main nutrient indexes of the observation group after intensive diet nursing interven- tion were obviously improved, among which the blood phosphorus content and calcium phosphorus product were significantly lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.05). However, blood calcium showed no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P〉0.05). Conclusion Intensive diet nursing intervention can significantly improve the incidence of malnutrition in patients with maintenance hemodialysis and the life quality of the patients.
