摘要
科技英语长句的复杂性给翻译实践带来许多困难。解决科技英语翻译难题不仅局限于对字词句的微观分析阐释,还应当从宏观的角度去发现翻译过程中难题产生的深层次缘由。从中西思维模式的差异去了解英汉语言的表现形式,进而尝试确立有效的科技英语长句的翻译手段,这可以为指导科技英语翻译教学做出一些有益的探索。
The complexity of long sentences in EST brings some hard nuts in translation practices. To solve these difficulties special attention should not only be paid to words or sentences, but also to the differences between Chinese and Western thinking modes, which helps choose the effective translation methods, and provide the guidance to EST translation teaching as well.
