2014年,IMT-2020(5G)推进组发布了第一份白皮书,第五代移动通信系统被提上日程,有望在2020年完成整个网络与系统的部署。未来的数据流量,网络连接设备总量将会发生爆炸式增长,业务需求将会发生颠覆性变化,物联网与移动互联网将会相互融合,为人们提供多元化服务,如车联网,智能家居,智慧医疗,工业监测系统,超高清3D时频等。文章介绍实现以上高速率,靠可靠性,低时延,智能化,功能多元化的5G网络实现的网络架构以及关键技术,如大规模MIMO,软件定义网,自组网技术等。
