摘要
以名词way为例,运用原型范畴理论、隐喻和转喻对其多义性进行阐释,构建多义词way的语义认知机制,并通过实证来探讨认知语言学理论运用于英语教学的可行性和有效性。
Taking the noun word "way" as an example, this paper intends to interpret its meanings from a cognitive perspective on the basis of the prototype theory, metonymy and metaphor so as to estab- lish a semantic cognitive mechanism of "way", and to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of applying the cognitive linguistics theories to the English teaching through the empirical study.
