Objective To study the significance of serum human epididymis protein 4 (HE4), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and tumor specific growth factor (TSGF) in the diagnosis of ovarian tumor. Methods A total of 73 pa- tients with malignant ovarian tumor, 73 patients with benign ovarian tumor and 70 healthy examinees were recruited from the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, General Hospital of Fushun Mining Bureau between January 2014 to June 2014. Serum HFA levels were detected with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), serum CA125 levels were as- sayed with electrochemical luminescence immunoassay ( ECLIA), and TSGF levels were determined with turbidimetry method. Results The expression levels of serum HFA, CA125 and TSGF in malignant ovarian tumor patients were sig- nificantly higher than that in the other two groups (P 〈 0. 05 ). The difference of serum HE4, CA125 and TSGF levels was significant between benign ovarian tumor group and healthy group (P 〈 0. 05). The single or combined detection of serum HFA, CA125 and TSGF levels for the diagnosis of ovarian tumor showed significant differences compared with the healthy group (P 〈 0. 05 ) ; further, the combined detection of these indicators is significantly better than the detection of each indicator alone (P 〈 0. 05). Conclusions The combined detection of serum HFA, CA125 and TSGF has a high sensitivity and obviously improves the diagnostic accuracy of ovarian tumors, therefore it is of great significance in the di- agnosis of ovarian tumors.
