摘要
化工专家曹焕文集数十年盐业亲历与研究,从地质、气候、化学、水利等多学科角度进行了详细、专门的探讨,得出诸多影响深远的结论.尤其是对"硝板晒盐"的独特产盐原理进行了科学分析,对硝板的成因进行了讨论,更重要的是第一次具体论定了硝板的化学成分,这些成果至今仍是许多相关研究普遍承认并引用的结论.他在畦晒技术演进的梳理与考证中,对大池与小池产盐工艺的进步提出角度新颖的观点,更将古代解池化学进步的历史年代考证与同是化学问题的火药史研究联系起来,得出了二者都发端于魏晋南北朝时期的重要结论.
Cao Huan-wen, who was a famous chemist in Shan Xi, published his treatise The Research on Yun Cheng Saline after tens of years" hard working on Yun Cheng Saline with the theory of Geology, Cli- matology, Chemistry, Hydraulic construction, and so forth, lie reached an ample amount of conclusions that exercise a great influence. For instance, Cao Huan-wen firstly authenticated in the world the chemical component of "Glauber's Salt Cake" to be Astrakhanite, which is a double salt compounded by MgSO4 and Na2SO4. Besides, he discussed how Astrakhanite came into being and how salt was made on it, as well. The conclusions have been referred to and cited by the current scholars involved with the research field of Yun Cheng Saline. Meanwhile, in his summarizing and research on the history of the development of the salt-pro- ducing technology, Cao liuan-wen offered a new viewpoint on the improvement of the salt-producing craft on both the "Big Pond" and the "Small Pond". Furthermore, he connected the research on Yun Cheng Saline with that of the history of Gunpowder which is also in the domain of Chemistry studying, and offered a con- clusion that they both dated from Southern and Northern Dynasties.
