[ Objective] To study effects on the feeding rate(G) and filtering rate (F) of the rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus under four kinds of environmental conditions which are pH, temperature, light intensity and food concentration. [ Method ] In laboratory experiments of controlled conditions and ecological, by setting different environmental factors in univariate gradient, the feeding and drainage efficiency were studied by subtraction of different time periods food concentration. [ Result] The results showed that G and F of rotifer Brachionus calyciflorus of fames state were the highest in time than after the beginning of the 3 h ( P 〈 0.05 ), then decreased gradually with the extension of the cultivation time, in the four kinds of environmental conditions of experimentation. The suitable pH for feeding of Brachionus calyciflorus ranged from 7.0 to 9.0, the optimal pH and temperature were 8.0 and from 25 ℃ to 30 ℃, respectively. The optimum food density ( Chlorella ellipsoidea) of Brachionus calyciflorus was 13.0 ×10^6 ind/ml. The higher light intensity under the maximum intensity 130 μmol/( m^2 ·s) of the experimental conditions, the more favorable Brachionus calyciflorus feeding. [ Conclusion] The research had not only provided necessary technical parameters for regulation of environmental conditions in the scale of rotifer culture, but also provided some basic information for rotifer ecology theory.
