中国五四时期的文学发展，明显受到了外来文化的影响，如欧洲文学、俄国文学及其他弱小民族的文学。茅盾就是其中的代表，他的“为人生”的文学观深受俄国文学的影响，尤其受托尔斯泰的影响。本文将从茅盾眼中的托尔斯泰、文学思想、艺术手法三个方面，探讨托尔斯泰对茅盾的影响。
Chinese literature of the May 4th period was significantly affected by its foreign counterparts, such as the European literature, Russian literature and other literature of other ethnics. Mao Dun, with the literature view of ＂human-orientation＂, is one of the representatives of this kind of influence from Russia, especially that of Tolstoy. This thesisconcentrates on the influence of Tolstoy upon Mao Dun, namely literary ideology, writing methodology and so forth.
