Thrombospondin -1 is a multifunctional glycoprotein matricellular,involved in numerous biological processes including cell adhesion,migration,proliferation,apoptosis,angiogenesis,tumor cell metastasis,inflammation and thrombosis.The gene TSP -1 is a potential tumor suppressor gene.There is a significant correlation between pro-moter hypermethylation and tumorigenesis.Deep analysis of the relationship between Thrombospondin -1 and tumor provides a new marker for early diagnosis and prognosis in cancer.
