学术英语的语境化教学——欧洲CLIL模式与美国社区大学发展性课程的启示 被引量:30

Contextualized instruction of academic English: Implications of the European CLIL Model and developmental courses in American community colleges

摘要 基于内容的教学法是当前学术英语教学的主流方法,但对于缺乏学科知识的学术英语教师来说,其难题主要在于如何基于不熟悉的学科内容开展语言教学。本文借鉴欧洲CLIL教学模式和美国社区大学发展性课程,提出学术英语的语境化教学,以顺应学习者需求和认知水平,注重语言技能的可移植性,推动学术英语转化为学术交际能力。 Content-based instruction is the mainstream method in the present academic English teaching, but to aca- demic English teachers lacking subject knowledge, one major challenge is how to base their teaching on unfamiliar subject contents. With examples of the European CLIL Model and developmental courses in American community col- leges, this paper aims to promote the contextualized instruction of academic English, which adapts to learners, needs and cognitive levels, lays emphasis on transferability of language skills, and facilitates transformation from academic English to academic communicative competence.
