摘要
The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has contributed to the deepening of economic ties and cooperation across all fields,but it has also generated certain problems.In order to achieve a sustainable development in the future,deepened economic ties featuring mutual benefits are required.The basic approach is to form a system of vertical division through an industrial value chain dominated by the free trade area.This will help build China into a more powerful final product market and boost regional economic integration.
The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area （CAFTA） has played an important role in boosting economic cooperation and political trust but certainproblems also exist. As China strives to build a new pattern of all-round opening-up and works together with ASEAN to upgrade CAFTA towards forming a closer community of common destiny, there is a golden opportunity in the free trade area, but there are also more challenges.
