Objective To study the health education demand on stroke prevention for patients with primary hypertension to provide evidence for effective health education.Method Investigate 100 patients with primary hypertension by self-designed questionnaire on general information, health education knowledge demand and educational mode, including 22 items of 3dimensions.Result The total average score on health education knowledge demand is(50.26±6.26)for patients with primary hypertension(total score=66).Among 22 items, the average value is higher than 2for 21 items, the demand is higher than 75%for 20 items.Patients' health education demand has positive correlation with age and disease course(P〉0.05).Conclusion Patients with primary hypertension have high health education demand on stroke prevention.Nurses should provide health education according to their character of health education demand.
