摘要
《政制》(Politeia)的篇名翻译无疑是柏拉图对话汉译中最引人注目的问题之一。20世纪20年代受日本影响而形成的"理想国"译名受到广泛接受,但其本身蕴含的"理想国家"的观念也引起质疑,并催生新译名的尝试。围绕"理想国"译名的讨论,也反映了国人对于《政制》以及柏拉图思想理解的不断深入。
The translation of the title of Politeia is undoubtedly one of the most eye-catching problems on the Chinese translation of Plato＇s dialogues. The translation of ＂Li Xiang Guo＂ was widely recognized under the influence of Japan in the 1920s, hut the concept of ＂the ideal state＂ implied in it has been challenged and triggers the attempts of new translation. Furthermore, the discussion on the translation of ＂Li Xiang Guo＂ reflects our further understanding of Politeia and Plato＇s thoughts.
