Objective To evaluate the effects of dietary education for patients with hemodialysis, so as to improve the calcium phosphorus level and the nutrition condition of patients. Methods A healthy diet education team was formed, and 40 patients with hyperphosphatemia in maintenance hemodialysis were screened and received systematic dietary education by charge nurses, including collective education and individual education. After 3 months intervention, nutritional status and calcium phosphorus metabolic changes in patients were compared with before, Results After 3 months, the level of serum phosphate (2.12 ±0.31 mmol/L vs. 1.68 ± 0.49 mmol / L) ( P 〈 0.01 ) and intact parathyroid hormone PTH (824.52± 588.07 ng/ml vs. 567.61 ± 526.59 ng/ml) decreased significantly ( P 〈 0, 05 ). Conclusion Systematic dietary education can improve healthy diet knowledge level, patient compliance and eating habits, decrease phosphorus intake, serum phosphorus level and improve the calcium - phosphorus metabolism in patients.
