Objective To investigate the changes and features of thyroid hormones in pregnant women of different gestation,so as to understand the incidence of hypothyroidism. Methods 165 pregnant women without thyroid related medical history and181 healthy nonpregnant women were selected for the study, and Thetriiodothyronine( TT3),thyroxine( TT4),free triiodothyronire( FT3),free thyroxine( FT4) and thyroidstimulatinghormore( TSH) levels were measured by chemiluminescent method. Results The differences of thyroid related hormone( FT3,FT4) levels among early- gestation,min- gestation,late- gestation women and women in the control group were statistically significant( P〈0. 05). The difference on the levels of TT3 and TT4between the three groups and the control group was not statistically significant( P〉0. 05). The differences of TSH hormone levels among early- gestation,min- gestation,late- gestation women and women in the control group were statistically significant( P〈0. 05). The incidence rate of clinical hypothyroidism in min- gestation and late- gestation groups were obviously higher than that of early- gestation, and all these differences were statistically significant( P〈0. 05). But the differences of incidence rate of sub- clinical hypothyroidism among each stages of gestation were not statistically significant( P〉0. 05). Conclusion Thyroidhormones of pregnant women changes in different gestation periods. Detection of gestational thyroid hormone levels plays an important eugenic value in the screening and intervention of hypothyroidism.
