摘要
沃尔特·翁的理论视角和方法主要探讨两个问题:一是在任一时代,都有"新旧"媒介,新媒介的扩散对当时的知识群体、沟通状态产生怎样的影响,以古希腊智者群体的衰落为例;二是翁对"传播""信息"的界定和理解,为我们理解新媒体泛滥的现实情境之中人和人的交流关系提供了某种参照。通过分析可以得出结论:新媒介环境凸显出旧媒介环境的存在,属于旧媒介环境中的知识群落若无法适应新媒介环境的逻辑很可能被历史所淘汰;在电子时代个体有可能冲破由文字、印刷机导致的封闭空间,为翁极力澄清的"传播"提供某种可能。
This paper mainly studies two problems from the perspective of Ong’s theory. Firstly,in all eras,there are old media and new media,and the diffusion of the new media impacts on the intellectual group and the communication state,taking the Sophists as example. Secondly,the definition of "communication"/"information"from Ong can provide the reference for our contemporary media environment. We can get the standpoint from the analysis: one is that the new environment drives the old environment,and if the intellectual group is not able to adapt to the logic of new media,they will be washed out; and the other is that the individual may break through the closed space shaped by writing and printing machine in the electronic era,which may achieve the ideal of "communication"from Ong.
