The experimental analysis of microstructure was carried out on the stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti) which was used as pipeline of entrance to gas turbine of catalytic cracking at high temperature in oil refinery. The effect of the microstructure on mechanic properties and physical properties was also studied. From this analysis, it can be found that the change of high temperature operating properties of the steel is the major factor of pipe cracking failure.
