摘要
清末民初社会语境之下的文学翻译往往以社会改造为目的,致使文学的审美特质往往被忽视。而苏曼殊对雪莱诗歌的译介则是一个特例。他对雪莱诗歌的阅读和翻译过程中融入了自己独特的审美追求,传达出他从精神审美的层面来济世救民的胸襟抱负。而这种审美追求也正是对中国现代性建构的一种重要的精神资源。
Generally, literary translation aims at social renovation and progress during the late Qing dynasty and the beginning the Republic of China, with the weakening of the aesthetic element in literature as a byproduct. However, it is special to notice that Su Manshu expresses his own pursuit of aesthetics while translating Shelley＇s poems. He tries to save his nation and people through the way of spiritual aesthetics, which can be regarded as a valuable spiritual source in the construction of modernity in China.
