摘要
整合大学英语教学资源有利于提高教与学的效率。对180所大学英语教学改革示范院校中30所高校的大学英语教学网络平台资源整合进行调查,发现:绝大多数院校的网络教学平台重知识的展示,轻培养学生技能的环境和功能,表现为对口语技能的重视不足,在知识的展示方面只重语法知识,轻语用和文化知识;各个院校的大学英语网络教学模式只是传统模式的延续。因此,只有加强网络教学平台的软硬件建设,更新大学英语教师的教学理念,培养学习者自主学习的意识,并广泛征询英语语言学和语言教学专家的意见以整合网络教学资源,才能使网络教学资源在英语教学中发挥更大作用。
The teaching and learning of College English (CE) will be both improved if its cyberspace resources are relocated. Through investigating the virtual college English teaching resources of 30 universities among the 180 exemplary ones nominated by the Ministry of Education, we find that in the cyberspace teaching platform of most universities people just present English knowledge but do not offer opportunities and functions on skill development, and in the presentation of English knowledge, people pay attention to English language and little attention to the English pragmatic and cultural knowledge. With the neglect of skill development, most virtual CE teaching platforms do not give enough resources for students to practice their oral English. Therefore, we can reach the tentative conclusion that the so-called CE web-based teaching model is to some extent the model of traditional teaching. We propose that both the hard- and soft-ware of CE cyberspace platform should be timely updated, and the CE teachers renew their teaching philosophy and foster students' consciousness of autonomous learning. In building resourcesinto the cyberspace teaching platform one should have recommendation from both English linguistic and language teaching experts to practically use and effectively improve both teaching and learning of college English.
