摘要
本文提出一种新的低功耗晶体振荡器(Low Power Crystal Oscillator,简称LPCO)设计。本设计中的低功耗晶体振荡器的增益可选,在石英晶体应用时,使用大增益模式启动晶体,晶体触发后,经过稳定时间切换到小增益模式,在有源晶体应用时,使用小增益模式。经流片验证,低功耗晶体振荡器的功能和性能满足要求,功耗只有2 m A。它的ESD防护能力超过4 k V,Latch-up防护能力超过+/-100 m A。
A new design method about CMOS Low Power Crystal Oscillator(LPCO)is proposed. Two important circuits of LPCO are amplifier circuit and ESD protection circuit. The gain of amplifier is two modes selective. In crystal mode, LPCO is triggered in large gain mode, after stable time it turns to small gain mode controlled by software. In TCXO mode, small gain mode is used directly. According to the new method, dynamic power of LPCO is only 2 m A.ESD and Latch-up protection level are 4 k V(HBM)and +/-100 m A I-trigger, respectively.
