摘要作为公众史学的一部分,公众记忆产生的条件与公众史学一致,即能认知和思辨的公众和能自由对话交流的空间。公众空间在这里是一种社会建构,具有时间和社会维度,它决定了产生于其中的公众记忆具有文化性、社会性和集体性。本文主要探讨公众记忆的定义与特征,从公众史学的角度分析中国城市近十年来陆续实施的"城市记忆工程",进而剖析档案与公众史学的关系。 As part of public history,public memory needs a public that engages critical thinking,and a space that encourages democratic dialogues.Public space is socially constructed with temporal and social dimension.Public memory,produced within this space,is also culturally,socially,and collectively constructed.This article discusses the idea of public memory,and analyzes the Urban Memory Projects in China from the public history perspective.It further explores the relationship between archives and public history.
