摘要
英语现在分词完成体不能作名词后置定语是一个被普遍认同的语法现象。本文从概念框架视角。对其理据进行了阐释。研究发现，其理据为英语现在分词完成体作名词后置定语不符合修饰、限定性词语作名词后置定语的规则。
That English perfective present participles cannot be the post-modifier of nouns is generally accepted. Based on concept frame, the study explores the motivations. The study finds the motivation not being able to function as post-modifier of nouns and how they go against rules for post-modifying components in modem English.
