摘要
本文基于"认知假设模型"与"有限注意力资源模型",要求40名英语学习者分别完成两篇不同认知复杂度的议论文写作任务,来探讨不同认知复杂度对英语学习者书面语言表现的影响。语言表现主要体现在语言流利度、准确度及复杂度三个方面。本研究通过控制涉及因素、推理要求、准备时间及背景知识四个变量,得到如下结论:随着认知复杂度的提高,英语学习者的语言流利度有所提高,但并不显著;语言准确度及词汇复杂度显著性下降;而句法复杂度有一定程度的下降。
Based on Cognitive Hypothesis model and Limited Attentional Capacity model,the study asks 40 English learners to finish two argumentative writing texts with different coqnitive complexity respectively,with the aim to investigate the effects of different cognitive complexity of argumentative writing tasks on the written language performance in terms of language fluency,accuracy and complexity.By manipulating four variables,that is,+/- elements,+/- reasoning,+/- planning time and +/- background information,the study gets the results that with the in crease of cognitive comprexity,fluency increases in an insignificant way,accuracy and lexical complrexity decrease significantly,and syntactic complexity decreases to some degree.
