所提问题认知层级与思辨能力关系的研究 被引量:16

The relationship between the cognitive levels of the questions raised by English learners and their critical thinking skills

摘要 本研究依据Bloom的认知发展框架及Kinsella的问题认知层级分类,通过对新闻英语课程中思辨能力高低两组学习者所提问题进行分类研究,旨在找出学习者思辨能力强弱与提问认知层级之间的关系。研究发现,两组受试所提问题在较高认知层级的数量上有限且区别不大,而在认知较低,特别是中间层级差异较大。思辨能力较强学习者提问动机在于提出质疑或表达自己观点,与思辨能力较弱组相比,他们更擅长分析和推理。 Question plays a very important role in developing learners' critical thinking skills whereas few researchers focus on that in foreign language study. This research aimed at investigating the relationship between critical thinking skills and the cognitive levels of learners' questions based on Kinsella's cognitive levels of questions. Three data collection instruments were used: CCTST,a reading passage and an open questionnaire. 89 College English learners were grouped into the higher score group of 15 and the lower group of 15 according to their CCTST results. Researchers then classified their questions on the passage according to Kinsella's cognitive levels of questions. The result suggests that although there was not much difference between the two groups in the number of questions in higher cognitive level,learners from higher CT group asked questions to remove the uncertainties and to put forward different understanding from teachers and they were specially superior to the other group in analysis and synthesis.
