Objective To investigate the effects of collaborative nursing model on dietary ad- herence and levels of metabolic index in patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 104 patients with diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into the observation group (n = 52) and the control group (n = 52) , both with conventional treatment and nursing care. The observation group was applied with additional nursing measures based on collaborative nursing model. The dietary adherence and levels of metabolic index before and after intervention were compared, and the nursing satisfaction after intervention was assessed. Results (1) In terms of dietary adherence , the score of "days of ad- herence to dietary in last 7 days", "days of high-fat food intake in last 7 days" and "days of monito- ring body weight in last 7 days" were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group after intervention ( P 〈 0.05 ). (2) Levels of urea nitrogen and urine protein were de- creased after intervention in both of two groups ( P 〈 0.05 ). The observation group had lower level of 2hPG,urea nitrogen and urine protein compared with the control group (P 〈 0.05or P 〈 0.01 ). (3) The nursing satisfaction rate was 92.31% in the observation group and was 65.39% in the control group, with a significant difference ( P 〈 0.01 ). Conclusion Collaborative nursing model can im- prove the dietary adherence and levels of metabolic index in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
