Objective:To observe the clinical effects of the treatment of tibia and fibula fractures with fibula closed reduction and internal fixation by elastic nails combined with other tibia fixation methods.Methods:99cases of tibia and fibula fractures in the People's Hospital of Xingguo County from March 2013 to March 2015 had been analyzed retrospectively,53 cases of male patients,46 female, aged from 25 to 60years old.All the cases had been randomly divided into the study group and the control group:fibula closed reduction and internal fixation by elastic nails combined with other tibia fixation methods for 51 cases in the study group, and fibula open reduction and internal fixation combined with other tibia fixation methods for 48 cases in the control group.Therapeutic efficiency and postoperative complications had been compared. Results:After surgical treatment curative effects for all the patients were good. The efficiency in the study group was 98.03%(50/51),the occurrencerate of postoperative complications 9.80%(5/51);the efficiency in the control group was 87.50%(42/48),the occurrence rate 31.25%(15/48).The clinical effects of the study group was significantly better than those of the control group, the difference between the two groups being statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fibula closed reduction and internal fixation by elastic nails combined with other tibia fixation methods in the treatment of tibia and fibula fractures can achieve good clinical results with smaller wounds, reliable fixation and less complications.
