摘要
澳大利亚原住民作家吉姆·斯科特的作品《那只亡者舞蹈》荣获了2011年澳大利亚最高文学奖,它讲述了接受白人语言和文化的澳大利亚原住民少年鲍比,在与早期欧洲殖民者密切接触后的心路历程,揭示了白人殖民者的世界观与原住民"梦幻"世界观之间,在互动糅合过程中,所展现的差异及由此产生的截然不同的生态观。同时,《那只亡者舞蹈》突破西方逻辑思维模式,运用大量原住民特有的口头神话传说,用极富创造性的语言再现了大自然的非凡魅力以及原住民与大自然的天然联系,但也为大众阅读异域文学作品带来更大的挑战性。
Kim Scott's prize-winning That Deadman Dance has put the indigenous novel at the centre of Australian literature for the first time.In it,Kim Scott traces Bobby's mindset changing from the Australian Aboriginal"Dreaming"worldview to the cosmology of colonizing British,and then the radical reversion to"Dreaming"worldview again.The sharp contrast between them emphasizes the Aborigines' distinct ecological wisdom and their inborn ability to communicate with the nature and to maintain the harmony with nature.That Deadman Dance breaks western thinking logic and employs Aboriginal oral myths and creative languages to represent the great charm of nature and the natural connection between Aborigines and nature,which also brings great challenges to readers' reading foreign literature.
