摘要
在占有相关史料和国内外研究成果的基础上,通过梳理"普莱西案"的发生经过,分析案件的时代条件,重新讨论该案判决所确定的"隔离但平等"原则的时代合理性,并对该案在美国黑人教育发展历史中的地位进行重新评价,我们认为,在当时的历史条件下,隔离客观上有助于保护黑人享受相对平等的教育权利,黑人教育的发展进程并未因该案判决受到不利影响。
On the basis of a full possession of relevant historical materials and foreigner researches, it described the historical process of the Plessy Case. Through analyzing the era condition of the Plessy Case, it re-discussed the rationality of "Separate but Equal" doctrine judged by the case and re-evaluated the status of the case in African American education history. The research suggested that, under the historical condition at that time, segregation objectively helped to protect the Black's relatively equal education rights. The Plessy Case had not interfered the progress of the Black education.
